wanted to play for the fans, many for the players so they wouldn't miss their final year, and many for the schools to not lose tons of money. The fans can still enjoy, but will not be able to go, the players, I think, really don't want to play. The schools have done their best and tried. I think, at this point, it might just be better for a fresh clean break and start next year.
I love college football. I think the amount of love I have for the sport is why I really don't want to see it go through this type of an ordeal.
Maybe all the players will be hungrier to participate if we take a full year off.
While I think our team is one of the best in the nation, I will not think that this cost us a sure natty. We had question marks on the offensive line and the secondary. There were probably 8 teams that had as good a chance as we had. Add the schedule changes and the opt outs and all bets are off. I really believe it is time to cancel this season to preserve the integrity of the game that so many of us love.

Start the season in Dec. There may be a vaccine out by then. If the season is cancelled, a lot of fans will never come back to the game. They will see that life goes on w/o college FB.

“All the opt outs”- what are you referring to? Is there an official list of players?

Right. It appears there's 1-5 (at the most) at each school.

Plus, if the IG/Twitter accounts of most of our players are any indication, I'd say most can't wait to play this season.

I think the majority of players want to play and there are many major programs that could not survive a missed season. It would forever change college football.
