Well, it's easy to see why Clemson will beat LSU

Not only does Burrow have enough time in the pocket to make a pass, he's got enough time to do his taxes and write a letter to his mother. Oklahoma's defensive strategy appears be to send their front 4 against LSU's offensive 5 play after play after play. They cant get a sniff of Burrow much less put him down.
Our Tigers defense is an attack helicopter compared to Oklahoma's handgun, it's not even close. Brent Venables will blitz, shift coverages, change the angles, stunt and bring the house. Burrow is going to start wondering whether he has the ghey he's gonna have so many men on top of him..
Not only will Burrow not have time to pass, he'll need therapy for PTSD after our Tigers get through with him.
So no, I don't see LSU as a problem.

Nor do I. The Oklahoma Laters just plain suck on defense. The Clemson Tigers are great on defense.

this year. Something that apparently is giving you confidence is one of my main worries against LSU.

Respectfully, according to NCAA stats, our Tigers are:
#1 in Total Defense
#1 in Passing Yards Allowed
#1 in Scoring Defense
#1 in Team Passing Efficiency Defense
LSU hasn't seen anything like what our boys bring to the table.
Plus our offense will blow them out.
LSU is
#32 in Total Defense
#56 in Passing Yards Allowed
#25 in Scoring Defense
#10 in Team Passing Efficiency Defense.

Congrats on all the "first-in" categories. Who has Clemson done that against? I think Clemson is a far more complete team than Oklahoma but anyone who thinks LSU is some kind of cakewalk for the Tigers is delusional.

I think LSU will be a handful of we make it to the championship.
With that said, I believe our defense will offer a significantly stiffer challenge than Oklahoma can offer.

The dumpster fire ACC football conference, a FCS team, a Sun Belt program in their 6th year of playing football
And the 7th and 11th place teams in the SEC.......

And the 7th and 11th place teams in the SEC.......
We went through the same conference last year and blew out Notre Dame and utterly dominated Alabama.

I agree that Clemson can beat LSU. Holding them to 16, though? That's hard to believe.

LSU will be no cake walk and after this first half I don’t know if Clemson can beat them but can an SEC fan make a comment about college football without it including something about strength of schedule? You’re all just a bunch of parrots for Paul Finebaum.

My comment was in reponse to all the "best in nation" defensive categories. I think the fact that Clemson did that against the ACC is a fair point to make.

It is a fair point to make.
It's also fair to point out that since 2013 the ACC has won
3 National Championships while the SEC only 2.
We dominate the ACC much like Alabama has dominated the SEC.
Of the 3 ACC Nattys in that period, all of them were won against the SEC.
So the quality of the conference isn't a determining factor in Championships.

So far this year we haven't needed a pass rush. Our back seven is so good it hasn't mattered. I expect LSU to score 24-28 but conversely we should put up 40+ against them.
