Yesterday I had a meeting in Manning. Word got out that I was heading that way and I immediately got 4 BBQ orders from in-laws, outlaws, and the like. It was a Thursday so I knew they would be open. They're open Thursday-Saturday.

Anyway, I got there and it was closed. I was crestfallen. So naturally I asked around. Manning is not a very big town. I heard they are hardly ever open now. The husband and wife team that run the place are both having health problems. It is really sad, because this is the best BBQ anywhere.

Anyway, I just wanted to let everyone know one of the best BBQ joints in the world is no longer open (regularly at least). Perhaps a few prayers tossed to the McCabe family might be in order too.
