Good teams are good whether they're home or away. Dabo would pick whatever site is closest for our fans and players so I would expect the same from O310 unless they're scared.

Phoenix would be the best choice to keep some of the "homers away" and not creating problems for your offensive communication. But, boosters probably would not want to go that far!
Depends on "what means more"!
I smell what your cooking with the question - but Ohio State could easily beat Georgia even if they played on their practice field, home field, same state, it don't matter!

...Phoenix is about 3 times further from Columbus vs ATL. I don't think #1 gets to choose the venue, but rather the committee decides based on proximity to #1's campus. But would OSU want to play UGA in ATL? They may hope for Phoenix instead if UGA was #4.

I also understand that the committee chooses the location for the #1 seed that does not result in a “road game” for them. If that is the case, do they consider proximity for #1 only, or also proximity to the #4 seed? I spent some time researching but did not find a solid answer. Curious about the implications for us if we finish 2 or 3.

In Atlanta, both schools would easily sell their full allotment of tickets.
In Phoenix, Ohio State would easily sell theirs but I'm not sure about UGA.
I would choose Phoenix.
Ohio State would sell out if the game was in Moscow. Their fans are both rabid and well off.
