What letter do the rows begin with as you proceed down the steps in the lower deck?

A is the bottom row in every section and then you go up the alphabet. Once you use up the first 26 letters - the letters are doubled starting with AA.

Yes - it has been covered hundreds of times and will be asked again for thousands through the centuries.

answer. I think it starts with row A at the very bottom and goes up from there. So starting at the portal and going down you would see double letters like HH, GG, FF, etc.

The reason being, I sit on Row PP which is between three and five rows down from the portal.
