He was not down. Fullback was short, but QB was not down.

He definitely passed it. I'd have to see it again to know whether it was forward or not. I dont believe the ball touched the ground, which is what the refs blew it dead for, supposedly. They should let it play out in this situation and then go back and review it. This was a call with the game on the line.

Whether it was a pass or not, the back didn't get into the endzone anyway. I liked the call to go for 2. I just hated the actual play all. How can you not show dive when it's been working the entire 2nd half?

Agreed. PJ tried to get cute and run the counter look to the short side of the field. He should have just run his standard triple option to the long side, but behind #71.

Still, my post OP was more aboit the officials blowing the play dead on assumption and not letting it play out.
