How does Oregon suck this much this quick?

They went from an appearance in the Natty in 2014 to Wazzu and Colorados whipping boy in 2016. Too much money, recent history, and talent to be this bad.

But getting punked by Wazzu and Colo 2 years off a Natty appearance? Either they missed on all their signees or Helfrich is the worst coach ever.

I dunno that they really have that much talent. They usually recruit in the top 25 but not top 10 by any means. Historically they've been pretty mediocre until the last 5-10 years.

they have average win at 10.5 in the past 11 years, right? Even if we count it back to the Tommy West's era, their average win is still higher than us, let alone the number of championships.
If that's mediocre, I don't know what you call us.

Show me if you graduated from Clemson and actually spent money to go to playoff and natty last year. Doubt it.
What are we talking about here? The point I was making was Oregon is far from mediocre, especially comparing the last 20 years.

Of talent. He needs to go back. His scheme ain't working in NFL.
There is no talent in Oregon. They have to go out of state on a national level.

Oregon had a string of great well developed qbs that all had lengthy nfl careers(5+).
Joey harrington Kellen clemens Dennis dixon Marcus mariota*
They are struggling with qbs and mike bellotti recued the program. Chip kelly one upped his sucess. Mark Helfrich is not fit for the job.

I don't think a decade and multiple coaches is a flash in the pan.

They don't have a good coach right now and they don't have much local talent to pull in, but their next coach could turn things right back around. They have all the resources in the world and a passionate fanbase.

Oregon is among the programs with least losing season in the past 20 years (only 1) and, during that timeframe, it has more 10-win seasons than most programs (10 seasons).

A few years of not recruiting Calfornia very well can quickly turn their talent on par with Wake. Phil Knight and a cool offense lured in recruits for over a decade. Before that they were completely irrelevant.
