Because they've never won anything aside from the '69 ACC 'ship. Their occasional big win over UGA, Bama, or Clemson is offset tenfold by losses to the likes of Vandy, KY, Navy, the Citadel, etc. Their Heisman winner never scored against us, even when we had an inferior team in '80. And then he had issues with cocaine, by his own admission, so even that Heisman was tainted.
They have no point of reference for good football and their bitterness, envy, and hate about that jades their football intellect and all discussion about it. I do know a few SCar fans who can have a rational, level headed discussion about football, but most should be fitted for a straightjacket and a ball gag.
