My last name comes from England so I am English in heritage but I am not English I am American. Part of me does pull for England but I like a lot of Belgium players and they are more talented than England imo. France is as well.

I think the winner today takes it all. France will be a tough matchup for Belgium. Kante is relentless and if they let France control the midfield it will be hard to win. They need to start quickly and stretch France out to let their play makers work in space.

It should be a great match. Whoever plays better D and takes advantage of their chances on the break will win. I trust the veteran team to get it done tho. Lukaka is due a goal.

Brazil. They were under siege the entire game and scored on a fluky own goal and one reallly, really good counter. I think i heard that the expected goals for the game were Brazil 2.5 - Belgium 0.5.
I've been a little disappointed with France (again), but they are clearly the most talented team left in the tournament and Belgium's defense is really shaky. I can see Mbappe tearing them apart and Pogba and Kante owning the midfield.

It wasn't much of a fluke imo. It did come off a Brazil player but it was a ball on goal. They played D when they got up 2-0 as would any team. Hazard will not be controlled midfield. Should be a great game. I believe it is pretty evenly matched and Belgium is the veteran squad. Could go either way and be a great game with pace.

So when France wins you mind me taunting you more. ?? Was it over when France bombed Antwerp? Or when Belgium bombed Marseille Fos Port? I believe the winner will score the most goals. ??

Maybe...the thing that keeps jumping into my mind is that less than three weeks ago the USA was, however briefly, up 2-0 on France...in their own building in Paris. With what amounted to a completely retooled U-23 USA squad that barely had to shave yet.
They disallowed that second goal because Bobby Wood was a step offsides, and France did dominate possession in that game, but it still served more than a bit of notice the French defense and the French psyche was and always has been a bit...shaky. The USA Juniors still walked out with a 1-1 draw, which was not a good look for a French side amping up to full-on World Cup form with their A+ lineup on the field.
Then again, Belgium having the mother of the mother of the mother of all Golden Generations; they've never really been this far. And they've looked intermittently shaky themselves. Ditto for Croatia, who appeared in most of their World Cups as a third of Yugoslavia...Modrich and Rakotich have been brilliant, the rest of 'em...meh. And England has sort of defined Shaky and Underachieving since 1966.
Weird tournament. All the truly big boys - Germany, Spain, Argentina, Brazil - have gone home, or were never actually there to begin with (Italy, Netherlands).
