How'd he just come on this year ? Seems we would have heard more of him earlier with Bosa on the other side getting all the attention ?

I mean it could be a situation like XT this year where they were making a ton plays and getting into the back field but not necessarily making the sacks. I don't really know though. Good question.

Is he better than Bosa? Doubt it. But he made a name against no names and when he went against the better OLines in the B10 he sorta disappeared. Given the choice between Clelin Ferrell or Young, I take Ferrell cause he showed up against everyone!

First of all he didn't just come on in 2019. He was a very good player last year too. He just went to another level this year.
Secondly, he is better than both Bosa brothers.
I think most Ohio State fans would agree.
That all said, I'm confident we have a solid plan to contain him.

He isn't much different than Nick Bosa. Both are speed guys who are very good with their hands. He's just better.
Joey isn't exactly slow, but he's more of a power guy.

He's only a junior and had a solid year as a sophomore. Picked up the slack when Bosa went down, but you're right, he was nowhere near as good as he is this year. He was always a pass rushing specialist so he didn't see the field quite as much as a freshman. He is playing the run much better now and has developed physically much more. Most draft guys I follow have him top five overall so take it fwiw.
