IMO, we need a running back

I don't think Hot Rod, Howard, or Brooks are good enough to be the go-to guy in such a great offense. We have seen what happens when we are forced (or decide) to become one-dimensional. I really thought we had a good chance with Terry, but at this point, I don't care if it is Bellamy coming back, we need someone.

after seeing what Gurley (too bad we missed on him...) did in the game on Saturday, can't wait for Dye to be on campus.

If Dye pulls through and can be an immediate factor, we will be okay.

We need a guy like Bama's Yeldon

Runs right into defenders and dares them to try and tackle him. I lost count how many guys he just ran over in the Sat game. We need a bulldozer RB.

I think Brooks is going to be good, he is just young right now.

Not completely sold on Brooks. But here's to hoping that you are correct!

Brooks has shown flashes. I think Hot Rod will be the starter at the beginning of the season. Right now the two freshmen we are bringing in are listed at 195 and 210 in high school. I'm guessing they will be about 200-205 and 215-220 at the start of next season. That makes them bigger than any back we have on the roster right now. If they have some speed and power to go with that size, then I can see them taking more and more carries as the season progresses.

Hard to form an opinion on that

The coaches even said before the year that they wished they could redshirt him but felt they couldn't because of lack of depth at RB. He wasn't supposed to look great this year. He need to get a lot better but he looked better than Howard did as a true freshman when he redshirted.

he is NEVER NEVER coming back to Clemson. Get over it, already. Hot Rod, Brooks, DJ, Dye are more than capable.

Um I really don't think I went on a Bellamy rant or anyting, I was just emphasizing the point that we need someone. I definitely wouldnt call those guys "more than capable"

He has not currently lived up to his high school hype, but I see sparks this year. He appears to be hungry. If he maintains focus and his health, I think he can have a great year

definitely needed to run wide more often and that would lend to counter plays when they over pursued. We should never have tried to overpower the middle and let the DEs simply collapse in. Morris talked about " not getting our rhythm" but we did when we stretched the field. He seemed to go away from that in the second quarter.

He has been much more consistent this year given his limited carries, he's definitely the fastest of the stable. He will have to really step up next year!
