trying to pass a 6mm kidney stone. It's the closest thing a man can do to giving birth. If unsuccessful surgery will be required.

I've had 43 of those suckers since january 1974. One surgically removed--before ESWL technigue was developed. Cystoscophy twice, Lithotripshy 7 times because they were 5mm or larger. I passed the rest.
Kidney Stone adage: Drink one beer, pee two. Cranberry juice helps, and a regime of lemonade after that 6mm stone is out helps prevent recurrence/formation of them. Haven't had a stone in 3 years.
Good Luck!!!! Hope you hear a very loud "PING" on the toilet bowl .

Dr told me last night that they usually won't pass out of kidney if bigger than 5mm, but that mine had already passed kidney and was halfway to bladder so its possible mine will pass. As of 540am, it still hasn't passed.

I had one and couldn't pass it....
A friend told me to get olive oil (not virgin) and about 8 lemons.... take 2 ounces of olive oil followed by two ounces of lemon juice every 15 mins for a total of four doses.
Lemon juice breaks down the barbs on the stone and olive oil will coat the urethra.
Be prepared to pass EVERYTHING! 6mm is not small so good luck.

DEMEROL preferably Mepergan since it includes anti nausea medication. Usually 100mg if your not allergic and you will #### it out while you sleep.

Edited by tigerfurlife...... Only if you have prescription. Go to any er and they will give it to you. KS are very easy to detect with urine test.

Thanks to all for yr support. I thought it might be time to update. I still haven't passed the stone- doc says if i don't pass by 11-27 surgery will be required. Thanks again, george
