My Dad went to SMU so I still follow them closely even though I am now a student at OU. A little off topic, but what are y'alls thoughts on Morris?

hth. He's also much better at doing football stuff. He's going to win 5 games next year and 8 in 2017.

He's doing a great job recruiting DFW so far. June left him with #### talent.

That's for sure. His entire 2016 class is from Texas

He was a high school HC in Texas and knows the state well. He's going to develop a QB and get that offense running well. If the defense is even just okay, they'll win. However, in big games he tends to get a little conservative and predictable as a play caller.

SMU wasn't in any big games this year but you could tell his playbook narrowed down in the second half of nearly every game, even the ones they were still in.

Baylor until half. They were actually within 5 of TCU with like 7 minutes left. Think the final score was like 55-36 with a BS late score by TCU.

the play calling narrowed down in the second half of big games and became very predictable like PT mentioned. He also liked to talk about how he had to simplify his play book before most games, called it going back to the basics.

Well, he probably only had half of the play book installed at this point. Come to think of it, I'm not sure if we ever got to the second half of it. ??

Happy for him that he got the job at SMU. The current Clemson OCs are undefeated...Makes it more difficult to miss him. Thankful Morris helped DW4 choose Clemson. That factor is priceless.
I hope SMU finishes above 500 next year...and wins a bowl (hopefully against the SEC).

He's alright for a guy from "out there".

He can recruit that area for sure knowing how well he recruited in his relatively short time here. Great eye for talent IMO. He inherited an absolute disaster, no doubt about that. He runs a style of O that lends itself very well to bringing in some much needed talent. Also, the publicity he received while at CU can't hurt in many recruits eyes I'd expect. It'll take time and the right hire at DC (as stated above) to make the turn around he and SMU want, but he's fully capable.

He helped turn our program around, and he got DW4 to Clemson. That is all that needs to be said about the Chad!!!
