Here's the real question. If Ohio St, TCU, and GA

Nov 30, 2017, 1:42 PM

All win, would Clemson still be in with a loss?

I think so, it would be difficult to penalize them against an Alabama for having to play the additional game against Miami.

Obviously we don't want to find out, but I would be an extremely interesting scenario nonetheless.

this was being discussed on the playoff show Tuesday night...there were some who were saying we could be in even with a loss...

72-47 versus all FBS (am assuming FSU wins this weekend). At least five were ranked when Clemson played them. Is there another contender for CFP that can come close to that? If tOSU squeaked by Wisconsin and the Tigers were to lose a close one to Miami, does that justify tOSU getting a spot? If TCU takes OU down, does that justify Bama over Clemson, with Clemson's second loss coming in a game Bama didn't have to even play? Reward the Tide for 'non-participation'?

It's a moot point....Tigers will roll...P.E.R.I.O.D.

Personally, I don't think so. The loss to Syracuse would be the argument to keep us out. I'd take Bama before Clemson in that scenario.

In that situation, I think yes, as long as the game isn't a blowout. If either Wisconsin or Oklahoma win, then it becomes more of a coin flip.

If that happens, Clemson would be #1 and Bama would be #4.

They couldn't resist a rematch.
