NET rankings leave NC State AD 'disappointed'
NC State AD Debbie Yow said she was "disappointed" that the Wolfpack's "total body of work was not rewarded" with a spot in the NCAA tournament despite its lofty rankings in the computer metrics that the selection committee used to evaluate teams.

She is right. Really UNCG got the worst of it. I could kinda agree with taking Belmont in theory, at least they are not an instant "out" team in my book. Still, Furman had a better NET so why take one mid-major over another with a better net as the Socon (woff, UNCG, and Furman) were all quite good. Socon got hosed. It would have been nice to see UNCG vs NC State

Take St. Johns and Arizona State. One is sub-.500 in a weak BigEast this year and the other is playing in the garbage fire of the Pac12. Sure, they are #2 in the Pac12 but the Socon is a better basketball conference right now.

Net ranking of 73 for StJ and 63 for Arizona State.
