If ND wins out they will be ahead of all one loss conference champions. Clemson will be ahead of all non sec one loss conference champs. We are in if we win out UNLESS ND PSU and TCU run table.

TWO Power 5 teams out of the playoffs, as opposed to the ONE Power 5 team that would be out if ND didn't win out.
Obviously, ND can't keep two teams out, by themselves.

The pac12 has pretty much eliminated themselves. All Notre Dame would need to be guaranteed a spot, if they win out, is for TCU to lose one or for NC State or miami to beat Clemson. Another scenario is either auburn or Michigan somehow miraculously winning their conference. I don't think it's particularly likely, but it is possible.

He is saying the PAC is out and there will be another. However, that would take two 2 loss champions from the ACC, Big 12, or SEC. I'd say he is right but the Big 12 has a championship game now.
