Help an old man out

Aug 31, 2020, 2:24 PM

So our family is thinking about renting a villa out of the country possibly during CFP. If we do what are my tv watch options?
As of now it looks like we may be in Dominican Republic or Costa Rica. We will have WiFi and internet at either location. I am a Comcast customer and it appears Comcast streams most all of their channels they carry.
So I need to be able to convert the tv where we are staying so it can receive a signal from my phone or the WiFi in the house. Is this correct?

I stream YouTubeTV.....as long as the TV has streaming, you can watch your service on that tv

or take a Chromecast, hook it to the tv, and use your phone to cast to the TV

You can go to Beat Buy and buy a cord that connects your phone to the HDMI connection on the Tv. It’s works great, I use it for Tailgating or Camping. Whatever is showing on your phone will be in the TV.

Some of the services block streaming if you’re out of the contracted viewing area. Used to be that you could install a VPN service on you laptop and get around that. I’m not sure if this is still the case.
