He did have a history. Hard to argue against that. Once he was in he was fine imo. He was often a hater before though. Many young libs are though. They often evolve and get more realistic.

with key phrases being "adult lifetime" and "people hungry for change" as to why she's "proud" beyond just that her husband has done well.
I took it as political rhetoric for "I'm proud of what we're doing and how people have responded." But I guess I can see if you are being uncharitable it could read more sinister. Similar to how "Make America Great Again" can be read many different ways.

worded on her part and didn't really reflect what she meant to say.
If I'm taking her words at face value, with zero bias-influenced inference, it means that from her earliest years of maturity and awareness to her husband getting some traction in his campaign, she was not proud to be an American citizen.
