Hate to nitpick XT, but you have to go for the strip sack

The big hit is nice to look at, but if you are unblocked and you have a blind side hit on the QB, you have to chop down on the ball and go for the strip first. Coach'em up Lemanski!

Thanks for that. I'm sure he's been coached properly.

He's not wrong though. It may be a lot to ask of a freshman this early but with what the NFL is doing he'll need to make that adjustment for himself in the future. Part of the reason that Von Miller has been so good is that he goes for the ball instead of the hit.

Looked more like an avenge-Trevor-at-all-costs type of mentality to me. And then on the following play, he ate his way through a double-team and still tackled Dungey. Xavier is a f’n monster. The ONLY critical thing I can say about him is that his speed and relentless pursuit sometimes ends in his getting caught inside. Happens to the best of ends! But Xavier sure is special and I’m so very happy that he’s one of ours!

I would be willing to bet that if you asked Dungey what he preferred that XT do, and he would probably agree with you. I would think Dungey is feeling the pain from that hit today.

No, there were about 20 seconds left in the game at that time. Simply getting to the QB and smashing him was all that was needed. They lost 10 yards, a timeout, and Dungey had to be feeling it. He needed to be wrapped and packed into the ground. Nobody is driving 95 yards on us in 20 seconds with 1 time out.
His smashing of that double team was phenomenal. Dude is 260 and bullrushing doubles? What a freak.

Like he told Thor at the end of that movie """ Should have gone for the head """ ?
Anyway.....emotions were high and all over the place this week and at that game for all our players and family of fans. Xavier is still very young but a powerful player that was also on pure adrenaline and high emotion as well and is going to be close to an unstoppable beast in the near future.
