Hartwell Village (NewSpring Church) in Clemson

which was the old Milliken plant on 123 on the Seneca side of town.
They have announced some of the stores that will be coming to it. Starting construction in May. Some of you locals might be interested....
Marshalls
Ulta
Michaels
Five Below (this is a dollar store, crap for <$5 - I looked it up)
Rack Room Shoes
Petco
They will be announcing restaurants in the next 30 days or so.
And a Tru by Hilton hotel (I guess this is a low-end Hilton). Also said the planned movie theatre is not going to be built.
This was in the Seneca newspaper (no free link).
Clemson continues its rise towards city-fication.

no, New Spring bought the whole Milliken property for $5mil

and sold the parcel to the shopping center developer for $6mil. Kept their piece to build the church. They played that deal well.
Shame Clemson didn't buy it when it was for sale, that's some prime land that could have been used by the University. Could have made an awesome sports complex (baseball, softball, tennis, etc.)

Sort of disappointing. Was hoping for some nicer stuff and some good eateries, maybe a movie theater in there....not the big box junk stores.
