Clemson Defense Ready to Get Nasty
Clemson defensive coordinator wants his defense to play "nasty"this year, and that word is already being used generously by the Clemson offense to describe their defensive teammates. Full Story » |

Ability with that nasty streak will, though. I think the D will be stellar. After a year or 2 with Steele, I predict we will be feared.

A nasty defense plays to our strenghth when we are playing in Death Valley. On the road we can be a force also. Can't hardly wait for kickoff. Go Tigers!!!

Ok KevinSteele said it about this years D.
But CTB should have said it after last years Bama game.

Clemson D = The Big Orange Nasty

We go 5-0 to start with national top 10 defense and then we can start working on nicknames for the unit.
I vote for "The Big Orange Nasty"

I had the pleasure of talking to Coach Steele. He is the mould of a defensive coordinator. And if you don't believe me then look at the Utah/Bama game. Saban was calling the defense in that game. You can say watcha want i say we've found somebody worth keeping.

I said after the spring game that Steele had one of the biggest challenges by his late arrival. He was going to have to cram down his D plan which has great risk. Then spring game did not create enough of a test or challenge based on the format and time to judge where the D was furthur it occured - right at final project and exam time. At that point this D was not ready and only exceited they would be nasty. Steeles ability to teach and coach to get understanding and then practice them enought were it is a natural reaction will be the key only VERY HARD redundant practice and workouts will have this D ready and the Ga Tech game will be uon them before they know it. Work - Practice - Practice D. If you want it it is there for your taking
