As long as Clemson is ranked #1 by mid-January, the rest of these awards mean little. Great for the individuals, but the Tigers are trying to catch much bigger fish.

And it will just make him play harder the next few games

just like it gave Deshaun a little more to play for when the Heisman snubbed him.

I can promise you that if they can find a way or an excuse to screw Clemson or Clemson players, rest assured that it will be DONE!!!

and not from the usual, over rated programs so I can live with them getting votes.

nice that they can through out some participation trophies for the non contenders.

add the beauty pagent prize that is the highzman, and everyone has something to latch on to

Hard to believe there weren't more impactful defensive rooks

than Terrell. I mean he looks to be an extremely promising prospect, and he's played well in recent games, but I think he finished either 6th or 7th on our secondary in snaps played for the season. We definitely needed him in a few games, but, for the season as a whole, I don't think he was a true difference maker. I do think he has a chance to be a star here though.

Maybe there just weren't many other great candidates though.

Congrats to both Etienne and Terrell though!

Hard to believe that he was not mentioned in the original subject line since he finished second and ETN was third. Big ETN fan but RB much easier to play as a freshman than CB.

We don't abuse our running backs by giving them 39 carries in a game, so they'll have trouble matching those production numbers. Spurrier did the same thing with Lattimore & we all know how that turned out for Marcus.

Imagine if ETN got 39 carries.....

In ONE game.

That would almost certainly end in injury, especially if he had 30+ in multiple games like Dillon did. AJ Dillon weighs 240 lbs.

The fact that ETN put up such ridiculous numbers as a freshmen starting as the 4th string back is amazing. He is the best RB in the ACC skill wise but gets the third most carries on our team. I love where we are as a program. Back to back Natty here we come.

Can my man AJ Terrell get a headline for finishing 2nd for Defensive ROY?
