This was expected, and I doubt that he will ever coach again, at least not at the college level.

Coach Marshall was/is a really tough coach, pushed his players hard to become better.Did he push too hard sometimes, probably, especially at this time in history where players want to be coddled.For example Coach Ford even said he could no longer coach because his practices would be illegal. In high school if we lost a game we would not touch a basketball the next practice, we ran timed shuttles etc. till we would drop or throw up. Today that would be considered physical abuse.

so the allegations of verbal abuse aren't too terribly surprising.

However, physical abuse is a whole different matter entirely.
