What is all this about with #1 WR from New Orleans Tyron Johnson listing Clemson as his favorite today. Not a name I have heard mentioned at all.

Not what I was asking! I had heard of him but only as 5star from LA who I did not know had any interest in Clemson particularly given that very few stud recruits from LA ever leave the state. Just never heard he was on our recruiting boards let alone his leader.

Just curious, where did you see that he named us as his favorite? I just saw his top group.
That being said, it'd be great if we were able to pull a guy of his caliber in under the radar a little bit. It wouldn't be the first highly rated recruit that came a little out of the blue for the 2015 cycle - Clelin Ferrell comes to mind.

definitely came out of nowhere, .. hasnt even visited clemson ...there are no reports about how much contact there has been anytime recently with our coaches..but he definitely said that clemson is currently his #1 choice, that he likes the way we use our receivers and how many we have place in the nfl, beyond sammy watkins...but popular opinion seems to say that he ends up at LSU ...

Watched some film I found on him. Dang the kid looks good. Definitely a take as an over sign guy at this point to me. He strikes me as an elite-level receiver much like Deon Cain but perhaps a little quicker. If there's substance behind this, what an awesome pickup this would be.

Sammy's recruiting class may have something to say about that. Watkins, Peake, and Bryant were all 5 stars by various sites.
