We have the best resume hands down, but the close call vs NCST is enough of a demerit for the committee to not put us on the same level as Bama for the top spot IMO.

If the committee looks at the tape the might recognize that Gallman was illegally knocked out of the game and we weren't prepared to play without him.

I definitely hear where you're coming from, that was painful to watch and probably shouldn't have been closer than a 14 pt game. But... if if's and but's were candy and nuts we'd all have a Merry Christmas. Amirite?
Let's be glad we're sitting at 8-0 (#1 Strength of Record to boot), FIRMLY in playoff contention and in control of our destiny.

That won't matter in the slightest any more than Louisville blowing teams out....as long as they follow their protocol. Gallman being injured during that game though could very well be considered.
