Coots are so stupid

Nov 12, 2019, 9:28 PM

A friend of mine (and fellow CU grad) shared a link from Tigernet announcing that our men’s soccer team was ranked #1. I responded “It’s like the 80s all over again...top of the heap in football and men’s soccer.”

A coot friend responded with a link from gamecocksonline about SCAR women’s soccer winning the SEC championship.

My reply is attached.

I never would've guessed the D stood for Dekle .
Is that a family name ?

Ha ha, well it is for my son!

Regionally common surname in South Georgia/North Florida. My mom babysat for a little boy named Dekle and loved the kid...and the name. My namesake is an attorney in Jacksonville. Spoke to him on the phone once.

Sorry not a more interesting story than that.

My sister babysat a kid named Starbuck in Moncks Corner when we were young .
That was before the coffee place but around the same time as Battlestar Galactica .

No, much more crying than laughter. My newborn son spent 4 weeks there. He's fine man now, but those weeks were very tense.

Bless his wife for working there.

I used to live next to the Beam family when I was a kid in the upstate. Jim was the dad and he had two daughters: Moon and Sun... so yea.

Also, my mom had twin girls when she was a teacher in Greenville: Erotica and Exotica.
