That was my first trip to Maryland for a game. Loved the outcome but hated the stadium. There were kids climbing up in the support structures of the bleachers stealing pocketbooks.

Since we are considering alternative "catches"... I am particularly fond of Ben Boulware catching an interception in a bowl game against Oklahoma (not the first one he took back for a pick 6, but the one the next year) and then "catching" Baker Mayfield in the side of the helmet with his knee. Mayfield will have to trust me on this or check the video because I doubt he remembers it.
But overall, I'll just take the three catches on that last drive against Bama.

Mike Williams acrobatic catch that put the ball at Bama's 38-39 yard line was huge, and I think that was the play that knocked the wind out of Bama's sails.

I really think we stopped any momentum shift their way with that play. We probably would have still come out on top, but that play kept the game under control

I vote for the Nuk catch. That game win, due in large part to that catch, for me ........replaced "hope we can win" with "expect to win" in my psyche.
Dabo has referred to that mindset change often before....and he's right.
In the LATEST championship game in Tampa, even after Alabama scored, I EXPECTED DeShawn to take us to victory. And the catch by the great Jordon Leggett , my second pick, propelled us to eventual victory.

"Greatest" versus "Critical"

I'd say that the diving TD catch Mike Williams made between two NC State defenders was perhaps the "greatest" catch I ever saw a Clemson player make.
A close second would be the TD catch Jamie Harper made against Auburn.
However neither was particular critical, nor did they have much affect on the outcome of the game.
If we are discussing "critical" though, there is no doubt in my mind that Leggett's catch against Alabama at the 9 yard line was the most critical by far.

We were 2-3 and a loss in that game would
have made for a mediocre season. That win
saved the season and helped us get in the
ACCCG for the first time. Also glad Randy
Shannon decided to kick it to Spiller near
the end of the first half.
