Tarheel post not allowed! Coach Howard was a big Andy fan. I go to Mt Airy often. That village plays the Mayberry theme for all its worth. Good place to visit if you are a fan of that crowd.
The only guy on the show with a brain was the town drunk! I forget his name. lol

One of my good friends is as much an Andy Griffith

Show fan as I am. We constantly use lines from that show, and most people have no clue what are talking about.

Lines like, "boy giraffes are selfish", or "you always want to do about something else when I want to do something else, let me right my sentence!", or "you beat everything, you know that!

As children, I think many of us saw a little bit of our fathers in "Andy Taylor". A lot of life messages in those episodes.

Don't make 'em like Andy Griffith or Jerry Clower anymore

Fellas that could tell stories & jokes that could be shared just as easily @ a church as they could on a stage.

military_donation.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

yes! They didn't need the f word in every sentence to be funny back then!

May 9, 2018, 4:22 AM

Why people lower themselves to use terrible language now like the f bomb is beyond me. It would be easy now to make a joke by using it in a sentence but it really is just an easy out for a comedian. The way it is used in public like ball games where kids of 1-10 are, I know some of them already know the word all too well, but they don't need to see it used like they do by adults. Oh well. I'm not perfect by any means but I watch my tongue to try not to offend anyone.

I remember when they would play this on the Tiger Tailgate

Show whenever we played up at Chapel Hill, which, back then before the conference split in to divisions, was every other year. Ol' Andy Griffith with his "big orange" drink! Timeless stuff!
