Interesting. I thought FSU's stadium was a bit larger than

Death Valley. Maybe the number of games at home this year was different, but I doubt it.

It wasn't stadium capacity it was attendance

Jan 24, 2012, 4:51 PM

FSU does have a bigger stadium. We both had 7 home games. We both did not sell out all our games.

Yes, I understand that. Was just suprised, given the empty

seats that I saw at our games, that our attendance was higher than theirs, since they had a larger stadium.

What empty seats? The student section up top?

Give us a few night games

Jan 24, 2012, 3:59 PM

And that number will be even better in 2012

ABSOLUTELY!!!!!!!! wonderful idea!! all the Sept games should be night!

I wonder which pays the most, night games with DV packed...

or the TV revenues.

That's 78k+ avg. Thats good

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

and I"ll bet if you check the NCSt, GaTech, and VaTech

Jan 24, 2012, 4:30 PM

individual game numbers, their home games against Clemson were their biggest single games too.

For the ones who always talk and worry about how much the coaches are paid, if the avg ticket price were only $50.00 ea x 547,635 reported that would equal $27,381,750
just revenue off ticket sales

There are a lot more bills besides coaches salaries***

Now times that just one bottle of water per person per game

Re: Football Update: Clemson tops ACC football attendance numbers

I expect next year's numbers to be even better. SCAR and VT are pretty much guaranteed sellouts with GT another probable one. Add in the additional hype and a possible night game or two and we're looking at some pretty good numbers.

military_donation.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

proves what I've said for years

Jan 24, 2012, 4:39 PM

we sell as many or more season tickets each year than many of the ACC schools have seats in their entire stadiums. look at our numbers compared to NC and NC St for example

badge-donor-05yr.jpgringofhonor-74tiger.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

without question......

Jan 24, 2012, 4:44 PM

there are several ACC football venues that don't even seat as many as Clemson sells season tix......Duke, WF, NCSt, BC, and until just recently unc & UVa were right on the edge.

Way to put that into perspective. And that's actually a low number.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Not bad to be 15th in all of D1 football

Jan 24, 2012, 5:16 PM

I still can't call it FBS or whatever the heck it is. Sucks that we're one behind Coot Central, though. Too bad it doesn't measure how many are still there after halftime. We'd kill 'em on that number.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

You are probably one of the ones that called 1-AA

Jan 24, 2012, 5:23 PM

schools division 2 schools too.

The only time I saw fans leaving early this year, they were wearing Orange and headed to the parking lot pretty fast in the late 3rd Q on Thanksgiving Saturday.

Were you one of them throwing stuff at people as they walked out?

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Shuck it VT & FSU.***

2024 white level memberbadge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Clemson fed it to the both of them.***
