This. Find the largest screen you can possibly find. You will not regret it.

I dont like being around people in a movie theater. If I even hear someone eating popcorn near me, my movie is ruined. If someone even asks the person next to them a question during the movie, the movie is ruined. The list goes on and on. If I could be guaranteed to see the movie with basically nobody in the theater, I could go. Otherwise it will be at home on a large tv, but that's it for me in 2020.

You’re weird, haha! I love going to the movies, but I have some quirks as well. The one I hate is people how go to the movies sick and cough the whole time.

Then I saw it at home on TV, and I wondered what all the fuss was about.
Some movies just don’t translate well to the small(er) screen.

Can't imagine the planning, preparation, and work that had to be done to film what they did.

Fantastic movie - incredible cinematography and such haunting detail.
It is best seen on the big screen, so try to see it in a theater. You won't regret it - it is quite an experience (just won't be the same on demand).

The camera work was incredible but I wasn’t with you on the edge of the seat. Movie was drug out and boring at times in my opinion. Guess I was expecting more action which it lacked tremendously. I’d recommend for the camera work as most of it was shot in one shot, which I guess caused the most to kind of drag along. Had the potential to be great but wasn’t, but that’s just my opinion. Unbelievable story though

I spent 2 years in video production classes and at the beginning of the 1st semester the professor told us the class would make us hate watching movies. Every week we had to watch a movie and write a critique of it. He wasn’t lying, it has made watching movies aggravating lol

I second that. I give it 4 out of 5 stars and don't think it should be best picture. Good but not great and very little war action. I say watch it at home when it comes out on DVD.

I agree with your assessment. Good movie for sure but slow at times. I thought Last Full Measure was a better overall movie. Really enjoyed that one!! Yep

It didn’t give you an omniscient narrator eye like most movies do. You were down in the trenches with the soldiers, unsure of everything. Didn’t know what battle was next, how the war was going, hell they didn’t even know what the men a little further down the same trench were up to.
Was likely a very realistic view and feel of how world war 1 actually was for the soldiers.

and an artillery gunner (probably handling loading the shells) and lost a lot of his hearing rest of life (95).
His best experience was a 3 day furlough to Paris where he & buddies were treated well by French Wimmens.
Don’t know the details but he always smiled big when asked.
