Back when men were men, women were women and seemingly the whole purpose of the University and the Hotel and Motel Industry in America was to keep the two apart, sneaking into the C-House was great sport.

There are a lot of alumni with many memories, myself and my son included, of that place and its iconic sign. Wouldn't feel right not seeing it at the top of the hill.

1952 My dad came to Clemson as a math professor and my grandmother moved into the Clemson House. Lots of memories there with her.

his apple orchards near Walhalla. This was back in late 50's and early 60's, being very gregarious, he made a lot of friends here, and usually there was a story about him in Messenger, when it was very small local paper.

Sam Jones, who brought The Rock from Death Valley to Coach Frank Howard, lived at the Clemson House until his death. He loved interacting with the students and he loved the food!

Lived there 3 years (at the same time as Crump and B-Meist, if I'm getting my timeline right) and loved it there. I am immensely sad to see it go. I was fine with most of Clemson's other renovations up to this point, but it will be very difficult to look up and not see the C-Ho up at the top of the hill. It is iconic.

The university is growing, but the town of Clemson is being destroyed. One day the attendance is going to go back down and people are going to be losing their shirts on all these apartments.

No they aren't.
The new student housing downtown isn't destroying Clemson. None of the old store buildings downtown were knocked down to build the student housing.
