Thanks Dabo, for upholding discipline and integrity at Clemson!!

It was probably more than one strike...

Dabo lays the law down, but he gives second chances.

Kelly fans need to listen to what Dabo says...... "it a pattern" of behavior......

His removal was not a vendetta, or a snap decision. I'm sure it's one that pained him to make, but one that he finally HAD TO MAKE BEFORE KELLY DID EVEN MORE DAMAGE TO HIMSELF, THE TEAM, AND THE UNIVERSITY.

You can only try and help for so long. At some point you lose the respect of the team if you allow one player to continue to be a problem.

Dabo said it was a pattern of poor behavior, so how come he was never suspended before?

Only Dabo & Kelly know the strike count, we don't need to know

Garcia was just being like every other college kid. Who hasn't keyed a professor's car?

Dabo said it was a pattern, yet what were the other incidents?

Good lord! Have you all not been fans long enough to know that team issues are dealt with by the team and we FANS have not right to know or will we ever. It's done to protect the kids.

What if they told us everything? Every little thing? Then what chance would a kid have. It's really none of our business unless they want to tell us. These things too will be kept quiet. Why???? Because tho he couldn't be changed here, Dabo and the staff do not want to stop him from getting a chance elsewhere. If you really want the kid to get a chance to play and straighten things out, I would pray Dabo does not share all he knows!!!!!

Forgot to add this......

if some of you don't think there has been a pattern of inappropriate behavior...... or you think Dabo was wrong....

then sit back and wait for the lawsuit filed by the family!

But...... if there is no lawsuit..... well, there is your answer.

There won't be a lawsuit.... just so ya know.

So, you are saying that hiding incidents from the people that pay to go and see the games is the correct thing to do? I'm asking here for clarification purposes

Absolutely! I'm not talking about hiding things that would be considered illegal. I talking about things that aren't illegal, but do fall outside the lines of conduct expected of a scholarship student athlete that has been blessed with an athletic scholarship.

Again, coaches bend over backwards to help kids. To try and save kids that have some growing up to do. One fault of coaches is that they sometimes take a risk on kids because they believe they can change them. Many times they do. Unfortunately, sometimes they can't.

Apparently, they felt the nephew of a Hall-of-Famer was someone that they could work with. Unfortunately, they could not.

When the time comes that they realize that one particular athlete isn't going to change and has to be removed, their final act of decency is to not ruin the kids chances of turning it around somewhere else. Thus, they do not publicly bash the kid, thereby leaving him the lifeline to catch on elsewhere.

Someone with a strong faith like Dabo does everything he can to save a kid. If he cannot, he gives a kid the chance to be saved by someone else. And if you might be from the FFRF, I don't say "saved" in a religious context. But as as a final act of love or decency. Tho they may have to cut ties with a troubled child, they do not want to ruin his life. And yes that is the right thing to do. And no, we don't need to know all the sordid details that led to the final solution. UNLESS, a fan like YOU would want to drive the final stake thru a 20 yr olds heart.

I'm definitely not s fan of ffrf. Thanks for your reply and yes, i believe in second chances

Actually Garcia had 6 strikes and IMO, he wouldn't have been kicked off then had Shaw not played well and Spurrier saw that Shaw could handle QB duties. As soon as Spurrier felt Shaw was ready, Garcia was kicked off. Typical Spurrier! He doesn't care what they do as long as he needs them.

Or.....Spurrier, like Dabo, and Bobby Bowden, tried to help a troubled kid turn his life around, and kept hoping for that change, probably longer than necessary, until he was forced to make a move.

Yea Spurrier and Mangus were great examples for the kid.

And did I mention Mangus, cup-cake? This thread is about Spurrier/Garcia and Swinney/Kelly.

Somebody else mentioned. Quit trying to blockade new subject matter. I for one found it's inclusion a welcome addition to this op/ed piece.

Definitely more than one strike...

Posted: Apr 16, 2014 10:43 PM

This is what I remember...

1. CK sent an arrogant tweet to Cole before he was ever on the Clemson campus.
2. He got into an argument/scuffle with Spencer Region.
3. He got into it with a professor in class, which I believe led to him getting into an argument and/or scuffle with a baseball player.
4. Then there's this fender bender incident with Ali Rogers...
5. And, probably the straw that broke the camel's back was his attitude and actions at the spring game, and whatever ensued afterward.

That is what I have read about over the time since Kelly signed with Clemson.

C/P from my previous post...

Really? It's 1:30 AM and ur on ur rivals board

Posted: Apr 17, 2014 1:54 AM

Wanting to complain about Sammy?? He did a crime, did the suspension, and it was well publicized. Quite frankly the embarrassment of his issue was far worse than his punishment bc we didn't protect his image like your sorry sec skewl would've. He didn't participate in major games as punishment. Whereas your unethical "do anything skewl" wouldn't have made a player like him sit. Unless it was against NE central state U or some "carp." Big difference. Don't act like your team isn't laced with thugs.

A school with integrity like Clemson will tell a guy like Kelly or Bellamy to get bent. While your shameful skewl embraces eight chances with a win @ all cost attitude. It's a proven fact. Furthermore since you embrace this hypocritical attitude, it tells me all I need to know about you. Sorry ### on his rivals board @ 1:30 bashing Sammy. Get a clue.
