Cornerbacks will be very key to stopping any burst

from NC State and especially later for FSU. Most of our recent past bad performances seem to always start with a breakdown there and then the entire defense just loses steam. I hope Venables is just being low key about it by not talking up significant improvements there. They were decent against UGA but the line pressure helped a lot, too.

several years as I believe this has been an issue with our linebackers. They are physically gifted but have had a difficult time understanding what they are supposed to do on the field. Maybe I'm expecting too much out of young players that we need to contribute quickly?
