International football teams all have sponsors. It's been that way for ages. MLS is the only one I know of that doesn't, and that's simply because American fans don't like sponsorships plastered over the front of their uniforms.
My view is, who cares? If the team is good, it shouldn't matter what their jersey says.

Was watching teh SB when Washington and the Raiders played, my dad was a huge Washington fan and all I heard about was Theisman, Riggins, etc.
