Football story - Middle TN

I was recently renting a car and a guy there noticed my Clemson jacket. He started talking to me about football. He had played for Middle TN in 2009 when they came to Death Valley.

He started off by telling me that the stadium was so loud and they did have to call a timeout as a result. He also said that Death Valley was an awsome stadium and that the University was very nice. He indicated that the Clemson fans were friendly.

However, he was amazed about how isolated Clemson was. He said their bus was on some back road and they were driving by trailer parks and then all of a sudden it opened up and there was Clemson University.

I thought it was interesting to hear the point of view from a small opposing team.

I believe that was the game CJ ran the opening kickoff back for a TD. First game of the year.

MT starting QB that night is the nephew of Eldridge Milton

who was a lb at Clemson. Eldridge was the 1st player signed to a major college out of Folkston GA (Charlton County). Some others from that HS were LB Boss Bailey, CB Champ Bailey (GA) & DL Henry McMillian (FL)
