Football is better this year. Why?

Sep 21, 2020, 8:45 PM

I have been a so-so NFL fan for years. This year, the games are better...don’t know why. Certainly less referee discussions...maybe fewer commercials.

College ball is tbd. This weekend will tell the tale with sec playing and me at home with no home game.

I said before (yesterday) that the first game at home was AWESOME. Not wishing for more pandemic ball, but it was some great in-person watching.

Oh Crap...now just watched dude from raiders knock himself out by hitting the camera cart. Not good. Maybe my opinion just changed.

NFL has been better. Can’t put my finger on it exactly. There just seem to be a lot of good teams this year.

College is the opposite IMO. They’ve got to find away to increase parity. I think a legitimate playoff would be a step in the right direction.

Interesting post. My guess would be that the NFL has been modeling the (old) college game the last few years. Also, we have more Tigers than ever in the league to root for. Will be crazy to have DW4 and TL both in the league next year. Hopefully TL ends up on a team I can pull for.

The games do seem to be more exciting and entertaining

I think a large part of it is that a lot of teams have adopted more college style offenses.

NFL is more interesting to me simply because there are more teams that have 2 or more Tigers.
