Football becoming too pass happy!?

May 8, 2015, 9:42 PM

I think that with the success of OHI U, and the almost demise of the Deflatriots that running backs will again become more prominent in offenses in 2015-16. Something that I will be proud to see, its also a reason why OHI U is ranked number one in the way-too-early poll. I don't know, maybe I'm too conservative and stubborn, but I hate seeing a QB just toss the rock around the field. Its like having a doughnut with the glaze.

I think I would rather see a QB throwing it all over the place rather than seeing a RB run 2 yards then 3 yards then 2 yards...I think passing makes the game more exciting. Tiger dug I believe he's right about the rock...tote the rock. That's football I believe...brick is basketball :)

For the rest of you who have only watched on TV and never actually played sports. The rock refers to the ball. It doesn't have to just be a basketball. It is perfectly normal to refer to a football as a rock as well.

Traditionally the run is established then the pass.

Lately it's been who can out score whom. I'm kinda with you on this. I think our running game this coming season will draw attention by all the media and take a back seat to none.

'Three things can happen when you pass the ball and two of them ain't good.'

Must be too early in the morning for my reading comprehension. Cuz this made no sense how you came from passing offenses to running backs are gonna rule this year. I'll come back later.

Go sit and watch a Wofford / Appalachian State game......run left....run right....over center...receiver screen (maybe) or punt...next possession repeat....after the first quarter go back to the car and continue tailgating, you'll have more fun.
