non-profanity words. Even in his pre-game pressers he said they were going to "beat the #### out of clemson"... really? I don't think I've ever heard a head coach speak that way.

or watched film and found it "disappointing" or whatever. He probably should have learned more about his own team than ours. Or maybe he just doesn't know jack squat.

IMO we should have taking a fg. The dumb excuse by dabo before half was embarrassing. We are the ones who took the to with 14 seconds.

delay of game penalty two drives earlier that took the FG off the board, why did we punt? Catman's FG was good by far and another five yards would not have changed that. We definitely wasted some points on the last three possessions of the first half. Oh well, still won by 35.

Syracuse HC and the TV analyst are insane for thinking anyone "runs the score up" in the second quarter. How many times have we seen miraculous comebacks in the second half? You get as many points as you can, anyway you can until it is absolutely impossible for a comeback. GO TIGERS Welcome to Big Boy Football, Syracuse.

Touchdown scored before the half and possible standing along in with the 3rd place ranking. The BCS computer doesn't look for style points and classic games down the stretch, or late in November. Low scoring games against none ranked opponents has come back to haunt many teams. TAKE CARE OF BUSINESS NOW OR CRY FOUL LATER. WON'T CHANGE THE FACTS IF THE COMPUTER LEAVES YOU OUT OF THE TITLE POSITIONING OR TITLE GAME. PLAY TO PUT YOUR TEAM IN THE BEST POSSIBLE POSITION OR OPPORTUNITY DABO.

Coach should have told his players to keep their trap shut and worried about that and how to stop Clemson instead of worrying about someone going for it in the first half. I hope they don't win an ACC game all year.

She said dumb Yankee. She used Dumb to describe his aptitude and Yankee to describe what part of the country he is from. I see nothing wring with what she said. There are plenty of dumb southerners too.

What if she called him a "dumb white guy"? Or if he was black...you fill it in. It's obvious why she said what she said. Sad thing is there are way too many Southerners who are still hung up on a war that ended around 150 years ago.

in response to SHAFER's trash talk all week, but, if it was, Dabo had every right.
Any other reason was game-related, and it was Dabo's choice.
Shafer's players act like him: jerks with no action to back up their big mouths.
I really haven't witnessed that kind of immaturity in a long time.
I found it interesting Shafer said, "I'm an adult NOW [my emphasis]...] When exactly did he become an adult? He looks like he's been an adult for quite a while.

Attitude reflects leadership - it would serve Shafer well to remember that!
And I don't always agree with the ESPN announcers, but I liked that one of them said that it wasn't "Clemson's job to stop Clemson" - so basically Shafer was having a little temper tantrum because he couldn't do his job, and that is not Dabo's problem. Welcome to the ACC

So I am going to guess that he was pretty upset that his Syracuse team couldn't match the talent of our Tigers. His blitz packages were suppose to expose Tajh Boyd (two picks both from tip balls from the receivers who did not catch them. Oh and he had over 400 yards passing and 5 passing touchdowns). His QB was going to use those misreads on our defense against us (3 ints, less than 100 yards passing way below 60% passing.) Can't be mad you did not keep up with Clemson. No one to this point has....

doesn't get drunk 3 ways from Sunday and go on his weekly tv show in front of a bunch of kids who idolize him slurring his speech and talking crap about his staff and players....and for his public drunkeness---the Athletic Director simply says he didn't see the "Foster Brooks Episode"
Just be glad the Syracuse coach doesn't get so freakin' drunk, that he whips out his willie and starts to pee on the Main Street of the second or third largest city in the state....gets arrested for his misdeeds but hardly suffers any sort of retribution or corrective punishment.

Unless you're up 50 points.... Even then..., no you don't. They looked like they might come back in the third.... So I guess their coach wanted us to spot him some points .... They stopped us then.... If you don't want the score run up.... Don't let your opponent score...... Or throw in the towel and forfeit

I probably would have kicked the field goal but I'm not the coach. Regardless of whether he liked the decision, that still does not excuse the coach's behavior. You can't run up the score in the first half. Were they planning on forfeiting at halftime?

I don't remember Syracuse taking it easy on us at the 96 gator bowl while we were watching in the rain. Screw that coach and screw Syracuse. Yes I'm bitter.

Is either thing (scoring and cussing) really that big of a deal?
Nope. Not really.

Agree, scoring is an objective and profanity sadly has been and always will be a way of life for some people.

All week this board talks about revenge for the Gator Bowl and Dabo goes for it and now a bunch of armchair QB's wanna critcize. I say let the Orange fans get a taste of how it feels.
Besides it was a busted play which is why Tajh got dumped. Was supposed to have been a Jet sweep to the weak side but timing was off and ball snapped late. Woild have scored on that then what would you be saying? Still a bad call to go for it?

Hey, the guy apologized. Maybe he could give Darth Visor a few tips in that area.

I'm against running up the score BUT

I'm against running up the score usually but when the Syracuse coach and players talk a lot of smack they deserve what is coming to them. I would have been fine with keeping our first string in and really running up the score. That being said it was still the second quarter. There was a very small chance they could have made it a game again and for a while it looked like they might have.
