Would you just lookm at this weekend's game..the heck with the bowl games. Could care less wehere we play a bowl game, rather win this weekend. Focus...focus

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I knew it was a possibility, but I am still stunned that we

Nov 19, 2012, 3:29 PM

could possibly go 11-1 and have such a hard time climbing back in to the top-7 or 8 and getting a BCS at-large. BCS at-large spots are never easy to get, but any other year and 11-1 would have us in the top-5. I don't think it is our conference so much as it is just the quirky way that the teams ahead of us lost or didn't lose and the teams just behind us beat teams that were very highly ranked. Just a shame.

If we lose to South Carolina it is a mute point anyway. I just also hate that the ACC has such a sorry bowl line-up that the second bowl is Chick Fil A. Even if we had a Gator, Capital one or Outback on New Year's Day.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Chick-fil-a will be vs. a top 10 SEC team

Nov 19, 2012, 3:35 PM

either 10-2 UGA, 10-2 Florida, or 10-2 TAMU since SEC teams never drop even when they lose.

not a bad consolation prize.

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I don't see that

Nov 19, 2012, 3:38 PM

They will send 2 BCS, Capital One, Outback, Gator, and Cotton.

That will take care of Bama, UGA, LSU, Florida, SC, and A&M

CFA SEC #5 > Gator SEC #6

everybody already slotting Miss State in J'ville.

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Hope that happens....

Nov 19, 2012, 3:45 PM

I don't see Florida going back to the Gator so that helps

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Yes, yes it is a bad consolation prize.***

This Guy doesn't know what he is doing!

Nov 19, 2012, 3:32 PM

In order to have Oregon in the Rose Bowl and Stanford in the Fiesta like he does, Oregon has to win the Pac-12...for that to happen UCLA has to beat Stanford. I just can't see the Fiesta taking a 3 loss Stanford team.

Of course it is all a moot point unless we fry the chickens on Saturday night! Let's kick the chickens back to Cootville! GO TIGERS!

I like the way you think :)***

He is predicting a 3 loss Stanford over us to Fiesta

Nov 19, 2012, 3:35 PM

He is predicting that Oregon wins the Pac 12 but the only way for them to play in the championship game is for Stanford to lose. Stanford (currently 9-2) would end 9-3 and I find it hard to believe that they would get taken over us.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Yeah, that would be doubtful. However it's 100% popularity

Nov 19, 2012, 3:39 PM

contest amongst eligible at-large teams, so you never know. Record really doesn't mean much at that point.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Next question is if they are eligible

Nov 19, 2012, 3:40 PM [ in reply to He is predicting a 3 loss Stanford over us to Fiesta ]

Do they take a team from the far east coast for a game on the west coast?

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

think again...***

Nov 19, 2012, 3:42 PM

Win against SCar and we will be in the Sugar...

Stanford and Oklahoma will lose at least 1 more.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Beat SCAR and I don't care what bowl we're in ... also ...

Nov 19, 2012, 3:43 PM

lose to SCAR and I don't care what bowl we're in.

Right now, all I care about is that we BEAT SCAR!!!!

Bowls are icing on any cake we can put together that includes a win over SACR ... period.

badge-donor-15yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I agree it is that simple this year this week just beat usuc***

Personally, I'd love to see a Tx vs TA&M cotton bowl. That would be a freaking WAR.

Might as well be screwed out of that; our players have been screwed out of the awards many should have been finalist for.
