He's a good bit bigger than Stephone. About 10 lbs. In a zone scheme (which is what BV runs), the MLB needs to be a big guy who can drop into coverage and defend. We know Steward in high school was fast. Probably faster than Stephone overall...although Stephone has better instincts and was the better overall prospect
My question is...would we think about rolling with Steward in the Middle, Stephone on the strong side and Willard on the weakside?
Let's assume Steward is 100% come September. Where would he play, and how would that affect the front end of our LB depth chart?

If steward is 100%, it is a no brainer for him to be at MLB

and Anthony on the strongside. Was another of Steeles many mistakes.
Steward is the prototypical MLB. If we play some 3-4, they can both play inside.

I agree with Tony at MIKE, but I think Stephone was projected as a WILL coming out of Anson County for his skills in open space and instincts.
I'd love to see a lineup of MIKE - Steward, SAM - Townsend and WILL - Anthony

With the great recruiting class of 2013, I think Tony should redshirt this year. This will give him an opportunity to train and get stronger and faster. He has had two major surgeries and more time would make him a greater player. I hope the coaching and medical staff are not rushing him to return too soon.

totally disagree. The coaches have said that he is light years ahead of last year. If he's ready, he needs to play this year, wth does the 2013 class have to do with this year?

If he lives up to his potential and helps out this year that could be the x factor that severely tips the scales back in our favor.
I like our chances even more now...
