there is a separation between officers and enlisted and I think Daniel wants to be on the same level.

He just want to kick butt!!

Agree. He ought to be

named "Sarge." In the Army, Sergeants are called the "Backbone of the Army." He will not ID with the moniker, "Lieutenant."

Yep, as a former USA Sgt., this is an insult LOL...

We used to punish privates who said "Yes Sir" to us. We used to tell them we worked for a living, and exepcted them to say "Yes, Sergeant."

The kids on the team don't know the difference, and I'm sure he's just thrilled to be a part of it. The fact that he has a nickname means the team has embraced him as one of their own.

Put this kid on special teams and turn him loose.

But his name is Dan, it was unavoidable***

Hey, luv you guys. Luv U. Coach Howard would ask "are you plyers or players". "We need players not plyers or screwdrivers. Now, I think we have players not plyers and screwdrivers. Congrats Dan, this oldtimer is fired up. Take names and kick a-?>.><.
