No BREAKS please!!!
Can someone tell me, Has this been happening for years? Never heard the term until Spiller had it... Is it because these "High Phaloot'n" athletic shoes are too light weight, and not providing adequate support?

Shoe came apart!
Oct 25, 2011, 4:49 PM
[ in reply to Dwayne Allen ] |
|
Watched on the replay and the sole of the shoe came apart from the upper. The midsole insert actually came out and Dwayne handed it to a coach, who didn't know what to do with it.
"Coach, I ran so hard I blew up my shoe!"
But I think the injury had already been there before he ran out of his shoe.

Tajh was joking about Dwayne having an ingrown toenail

because Dwayne made a comment about the fact that he expected him to come back in a wheel chair after the BC game. I think Dwayne aggravated his foot around the time of the BC game. Dwayne will be ready to go this weekend.

Is this Nike's problem? I mean, I know they sell crap
Oct 25, 2011, 2:43 PM
|
|
running shoes, do they do the same in regards to football cleats too? This is beyond freaking ridiculous. I don't think they pay us enough to keep using them if that is the problem. That said, Under Armor may be worse than Nike when it comes to quality of shoe. Maybe Adidas or someone has some good shoes for these dogs? I miss the Pony from wayback, but I doubt they still sell shoes?

When Allen stumbled in the endzone after the score, he reached down and grabbed what looked to be a thin, blue 'sheet' the shape of a sole. He didn't stop to put on a shoe so it must have come off from the exterior. I was wondering about that when it happened.

How did DA's foot insert come out on that TD
Oct 25, 2011, 2:55 PM
|
|
Did anyone else see this? It looked like his insert anyway, and of so, how? His shoe was not off. Did his sole come apart? If so, that seems to be kinda cheap.

years ago too? Personally, I think each player should get to wear whatever shoes the trainers approve as long as they're the right color. I can't see the same brand of show fitting 100 guys all well. Some will fit a Nike better, others an Addidas, etc,

The catch against Auburn in the back of the Endzone
Oct 25, 2011, 4:02 PM
|
|
looked pretty painful. This has to be tough for him. Tajh was leading him too far this past weekend, so I'm not sure if it is hurting him to try and make an adjustment to those types of passes or not?
They said he is getting treatment, is this able to cure it, or is it just a "time" sort of injury. Hope he gets better!

It seems like the Nike shoe issue keeps surfacing every year

Someone in sports medicine should research toe, foot, ankle injuries for the shoe brands.
