We need to accept that we are not a Basketball school and coach Brownell is not going to get us where we want or need to be....Attack me, but deep inside you feel and know the same thing. We owe this guy nothing.....except a multi-million dollar payout. He has been given every opportunity to succeed, good recruiting, new facilities yet same BS results. It's just sad and baffling,... Oh well, thank God, there's football and baseball.....Go Tigers!

If we don't make the dance this year he should go.
It's going to be hard enough winning in the ACC but we could have won the last 2.
This team does not know how to finish and it's been like this for a while.

and that's still very much on the table. This is a good team. The losses we've had so far will not cost us a bid.
As far as winning the ACC, I would not count on that ever being anything other than a "once in a blue moon" happening at best.
Winning national championships in football is considerably more likely than winning the ACC in basketball.
Being competitive in the ACC and getting to the NCAAs frequently is a reasonable goal.

it's been inconsistent or fairly downhill ever since. We have lost every game this year to NCAA tourney teams besides (and it hurts to say this) the Gamecocks. Getting 9 wins in the ACC over the Wake Forests and Georgia Techs won't get it done. I personally would have pulled the plug on Brownell long ago. We are approaching nearly a decade with him. Wow.

and I was of the same opinion as you at the end of last season. That said, there's really no point in discussing a coaching change right now. There's lots of ball to be played. I like CBB, I think he's a good guy, but he hasn't achieved much here. In my opinion it would be best to just discuss game action and leave the firing/retaining question until after the season is over.
