It's not so much a question of balance between whether to play loose and risk turnovers or play tight and have less gains, imo.

Imo, it's more about when and where we turn the ball over. Don't turn the ball over and give Bama a short field. That isn't to say that DW can't throw the ball when his back is to the goal post but that he can't let a corner pick the ball while he's heading toward the goal line. We also can't turn the ball over in the redzone or endzone.

Turning the ball over in the first quarter will give Alabama hope. We need to score and hold them early which means that is a critical time for passing because Bama will be fresh. We can't turn it over late because that will give them hope.

We need to come out and establish ourselves on offense so that they realize that their defense isn't as good as ESPiN has been telling them all year. When we are ahead on the board we don't need them thinking they have a prayer of a chance of getting back in the game. They will begin to take great risk in lieu of small rewards as they did on that onside kickoff. That ball could easily have gone out of bounds. That showed the desperation or despair in Bama's coaching staff. That's how we want them in the fourth quarter.

A middle of the field turnover in the middle of the game, that's not such a big deal.

I say just go out on that field and play Clemson FB, it has worked pretty good for us the last several years, and it wouldn't make good sense changing anything at this point in the game. Every game we have went out and played loose, we have made winning look easy!!! Go Tigers, play loose and have lots of fun doing it!!!!!
