What an incredible man with such a powerful mindset. I wish I would've been alive to see him in his prime. Just another first class Clemson man!

Buy the book Tales from Clemson's 1981 Championship Season.
Perry is on the cover, celebrating his TD in the Orange Bowl.
There is a lot of good stuff in this.Perry tells some stuff
on Coach Ford that is very funny.I keep this book and the
book Howard,in my book case along with other clemson
momento's including picture of the NC team.

He was from W-S, NC and I saw his ist TD at Wake I think.

I also saw the NC game catch in Miami, and very importantly, I saw "THE CATCH" in 1977.
and the black & white glossy of that hung in my den for most of my adult life. A fine Clemson
Man, but more importantly, a fine Christian man.

I for one am glad you are stopping. You are one of the most ignorant posters ever. You obviously think very highly of your own opinion, unlike the rest of us - RockHillTiger

He seemed to be one of the most popular tigers ever

I'm sure it's no consolation to Perry, but...

May 21, 2015, 11:45 AM

at least he doesn't have to see his nephew play for Tennessee.

Honestly one of the most awesome stories i've seen on Tnet

May 21, 2015, 11:56 AM

Very inspiring. I remember him telling a story about
how Danny Ford's practices were so hard that he and
others wanted to quit and he actually went back home
to North Carolina. Danny sent someone to talk him into
coming back. So glad he stayed the course and have
one of the best moments in Clemson sports history and
was able to use that platform to help other people and
now inspire others while dealing with his difficulties.

My husband and I were fortunate enough to be able to see our Tigers and Perry Tuttle make history in Miami. We also have the SI magazine with him on the cover, and we also have something else highlighting Perry's skills that I have not seen anywhere in a very long time.

During Perry's time at Clemson, the Athletic Department put out a replica of a vinyl record album cover with Perry sitting on a stool with lots of broken vinyl records around him on the floor and one in his hands. The title on the album cover reads "PT, The Record Breaker". This was a promotional item distributed by the Athletic Department back then, much like the large poster of The Fridge and CJ.

Our son is now the proud owner of most of our memorabilla, including that item, and he still has his life size poster of The Fridge that hung in his room at home and his dorm room at Clemson.

Was sitting with him just yesterday at breakfast.....

He mentioned to me that he couldn't see. I thought it was because he didn't have his glasses like normal. Didn't realize he was going through this right now. This man is truly an inspiration and encouraging brother in the Lord.

I'm thinking I remember some natural products/supplements that are supposed to be helpful for vision problems. Hopefully, he's checking on those. "Astaxanthin" is one of those products; it helps a variety of things. Of course, many nutritional products are complementary to each other. I happen to be taking this one for joint/tendon health, and noticed on the bottle it also mentions eye health, and heart.
Interesting thought, I've been taking the product since about November, along with a bunch of other healthy things, and I've noticed I can now see the strands of barbed wire, of our pasture fence at about 500 feet away, without my glasses. I couldn't do that before. Thankful!
Blessings and prayers for Perry, and family.
GO TIGERS!!!

My family had the opportunity to spend a little time with his wife at an event last year. We also met him and he was a class act. Both of them are exceptional people. I wish them the best.

Played with Perry and Homer Jordan on a softball team - intramural's when I was a freshman. Perry had a cannon and was very good. Homer not so much - but still a great athlete. Perry would always pick on Homer about not legging out things, etc. Really great guys. They were two years removed from the national championship. Really hate to hear this.

Wishing Perry Tuttle the best.

I am so proud that he is a fellow Clemson TIGER!!!
