Was the guy standing behind the highway patrolman a Frank Howard clone? There were times it looked just like the coach.

If you watch after the UL game, he is right behind Dabo or a player as well. Does the team have a designated Trooper assigned to Dabo/Clemson and go where they go?

He's also a retired police officer. I think he's personal security for Dabo as well as his brother.
