Funny how things can change. A lot of ppl were questioning if DW would translate well to the NFL I mean bears got Mitch and KC got Pat M b4 Watson I bet they going to wish other wise by end of season.

Deshaun is right where he needs to be, #2 on the depth chart. They've got 3 more preseason games to get him ready and ease him into the starting job. There is no question Deshaun Watson is the future for the Texans. But, I'm a firm believer that you have to ease in a rookie before throwing them to the wolves.

Dak Prescott was the 3rd guy on the depth chart for the Cowboys at this point last year. He only became the starter due to injuries ahead of him. He ended the season as a Pro Bowler. I mention Dak because he was the exception, not the rule. Had Romo stayed healthy, Dak would've had another year to learn the system and grow into the job. Also, noteworthy is that the Cowboys starting offensive line is much better than the Texans'.

I'm sure Deshaun will continue to develop over the next 3 preseason games. And, if he's ready at that point, make him the starter. But, honestly, it wouldn't hurt my feelings if he was the #2 guy through the first 8 games to avoid some of those defenses on their early schedule (i.e. Seattle, KC, New England). In the meantime, this noise is only going to get louder over the next 4 weeks. I just hope Bill O'Brien doesn't snap from the DW4 questions he's going to get.

Unfortunately that isn't saying much since Matt Schaub was probably the best QB in Texan history.
