This is what I was talking about when I said clemson is starting to get back to that overlooked disrespected team. ND that won like 4 games ,lost their qb, replacing a terrible defense coor, and Brian Kelley as coach to top it off has better odds then clemson what a joke. Bama gets the benifit even last year when they lost qb and hiesman rb they were given benifit bc returning defense and this year their offense. Our defense is going to be nasty but doesn't really get us benifit. Oh well just goin to possibly make alotnof money on 30-1 odds bc last 6 years only team to finish higher than preseason rank and that put us in the top 4 and in playoffs!

That said, we know Clemson doesn't post the top class or near the top class most any year and can still win a championship with super stars, player development, and overall good coaching.
I saw odds of Clemson 36 to 1 on one site only a few weeks back.

We are talking about Vegas. Post ND at 60-1 and everyone jumps in for a chance at a huge payoff. Move them up to 25-1 and reduce the bets on that side just in case it happens. Clemson's fanbase is growing but still can't shake the betting lines like others do.

The odds are set by how much money is wagered by fans on each team. Clearly ND's reputation as an exemplary institution of higher learning is, much like the football team, overrated.

Just a reflection of how the money is coming in. More money on ND at 60/1 means the odds drop. No slight by Vegas just more people betting ND at 60/1 and not surprising considering their alumni base.

Vegas doesn't bet, they just set the odds that nation wide bettors bet on. Vegas never loses.Just poor suckers. A bet on ND is like pocketing fools gold.
According to these odds, the Tigers have no chance for the CFP, or even the top 6. They'll change their odds in 3 weeks, bet on it.

This is just like the line on each game. Most people think this is what the "experts" think the outcome will be.
Not at all correct. It is only where Vegas thinks the money will split between the two teams.
As said above, the line moves when there's too much action on one team. They have to create incentive for more people to jump on the other side.
