He wasn't the best QB we ever had, but man did he have a cannon for an arm. Great to see he's doing well.

It took Charlie Whitehurst...

to beat "Shotgun" out of the job. That's strong competition for any college QB. Congrats to Willie Simmons for his success in coaching and for having a great family. I'm proud he is a Clemson man.

If Willie hadn't had fumble issues

Whitehurst probably would've had to wait.

I hate to admit - I saw Willie, QB and (Head Coach) then I had major brainfade that flashed "Korn" in my mind. I passed by the article thinking - NO WAY!! So then I went back and realized all is right in the Clemson World!! Congrats to the real WILLIE from Clemson!!!!!!!!

Why the hate for Willy Korn?

He doesn't deserve it. His promising career was destroyed by an injury and the improper medical care it received. http://www.goupstate.com/article/20111201/ARTICLES/111209964?p=1&tc=pg

He's coaching at Charleston Southern now and has a promising future much like Willie Simmons does.

Any chance he could return to Clemson in the future?

I don't know what position he would coach on offense but I would like to see him come back at some point in the future

Hate that you wasn't able to hold onto the ball here at Clemson....which still to this day was the oddest thing I ever witnessed from someone of your talents. Its good to see how much you've progressed in life. Again congrats to you.

Well done Mr. Simmons! All the best to you & your team at PV***

Someone needs to do some fact checking before knocking Willie Korn

Love to see him doing well

And i hope this is foreshadowing that he can make the jump into major college football coaching ranks sometime soon. He's another one I'd love to see back at Clemson.
