Any idea why? Is it possibly due to the size of the class

and they want to ensure everyone is recognized without having to rush it or perhaps there's other plans for the USuCk game. It doesn't really change the fact that it's still the senior night but I wouldn't mess with it especially being military appreciation as well. Hopefully they still have the usual senior day festivities, IMO that's a huge boost for both players and the crowd. You have to think every senior on defense is going to play like men possessed with it being their last game at home and last game until bowl season.

Could it have anything to do with TV? Or Spurrier retirement party

Typically on Senior Day, the seniors run down the Hill one by one as their names are called. It's a great tradition, but takes away from the overall excitement of the whole "Most Exciting 25 Seconds in College Football" experience. I've actually noticed it in the past...out in-state rivals will finally feel the entire wrath of Death Valley. They've never seen what UGA saw last year.
Maybe the athletic department knows something about the TV time (3:30 abc?) and they will showcase the Hill on TV.
Or this could all be to make room for a Spurrier farewell since his last game as a football coach could very well be in a little over two weeks. It's fitting.

As a guess...Dabo is going to want every Senior to play on Senior day. Won't have to worry about it as we run up the score the following week.

LOVE THIS IDEA!!!!

I have HATED how the seniors don't get to run down the hill like they always have for their last time. If I were a senior I'd want to participate at the top as normal....NOT wait at the bottom.
We need everyone FIRED UP!

lol I was thinking the same thing. But I like the idea of giving Cole the start vs G.S. instead of USC. We need to be full throttle clicking on all cylinders from the 1st snap vs USC.

Change made because we're afraid of the Coots. Good bulletin board material in Columbia. Nobody does this except Clemson.

Love it! Make it 100% about business. Let the seniors have their moment the week before because they all do deserve their moment. However, no one person's moment is greater than the game against the chickens
